ZONEing Nicely Along

Welcome to the new highPOWERZONE here on analogZONE! This ZONE is intended to extend our coverage of power products beyond the normal range of the lower "power mangement" parts that most of our analog semiconductor vendors manufacture. Instead we will focus here on higher-voltage, higher-current devices as well as power supply modules, motor control and the like. More specialized in many ways this ZONE will be directed at users, and potential users, of these products -- in our unique, analytical manner.
With this launch we have also taken the opportunity to bring the increasingly-important greenPOWERZONE's contents -- which was a subZONE before -- up to a full ZONE status. Readership of that ZONE has been steadily increasing as vendors around the globe focus on the dramatic bottom line improvements that result from good environmental practices. We are glad to now have the opportunity to offer three sets of content for power designers with lowPOWERZONE, highPOWERZONE and greenPOWERZONE.
Don't think that our expansion of content -- which is what we are totally committed to -- stops here. We have many ways that we want, and intend, to grow our content to make us a must-stop place on the web for an increasing number of design engineers. Although not a target audience, we are also seeing more analysts visiting and asking questions about our industry: a remarkable change for an industry where semiconductors meant microprocessors to most analysts only a couple of years ago.
Readers will see our directions of expansion playing out in the months
