foolZONE Special Reports for April 1, 2006
Word Workshop, developers of online and electronic dictionaries, word lists, and other linguistic tools for the digital age has introduced GeekSpeak 1.0, a technical dictionary designed specifically to be accessed via Internet-enabled cell phones and PDAs. "Now it is possible to read all of the analogZONE product reviews and actually understand them!" says Earl (Stolidus Blattus) Muttonchops Ph. Ol., CEO of Word Workshop.
The service provides concise, English-like translations
of over 20,000 technical terms, buzzwords, and acronyms commonly used in
the electronics industry which can be stored locally and updated via RSS
feeds for cell phones, or accessed directly from the GeekSpeak website, "It's an Instant Look-up
Dictionary (ILUD) for all those terms that you have been pretending to know,"
continued Muttonchops. "Our patented user interface (illustrated) is easy
enough for even a marketing manager to use and allows you to surreptitiously
look up any word or acronym without the other engineers catching on. For
a fee, you will even be able to hear the term pronounced through your headset."
The dictionary, built by Word Workshop -- a new division of Acme Vaporware
-- is based on the entire text of the authoritative book Reference Data for Electrical Engineers, 9th Edition,
a comprehensive overview of all aspects touched upon by the analogZONE
reviews. This service will be available starting April 30th. Pease contact
Lee Goldberg to sign
up.
