Build Your Own PWM Generator

In power electronics the need often arises to supply a square-wave with
a manually-controlled frequency and duty ratio (duty cycle). With a few
ICs, a two-digit thumbwheel switch, and glue parts, this simple bench instrument
can be built and tested in an evening or two.
